By supporting socio-educational and sports projects, the foundation seeks to improve the living conditions of refugee children, as well as their dignity and respect for their fundamental rights.

68.5 million people

There are currently 68.5 million people across the world who have been forced to flee their homes, more than ever before. They include almost 25.4 million refugees, more than half of whom are under 18 (UNHCR, June 2018).

17 years

On average, refugees live in camps for 17 years (UNHCR).

57%

57% of the world’s refugees are from three countries:

  • 6.3 million from Syria
  • 2.5 million from Afghanistan
  • 2.4 million from South Sudan
